Postdoctoral candidates should email dbergmann@stanford.edu, describing a specific line of investigation relevant to the research goals of the lab: What scientific question, exactly, most excites or intrigues you?  How do you propose to address those questions? When inquiring about positions, please email a statement of research interests and professional goals, a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and contact information for three references. Two year post-bac positions are sometimes available. Currently open positions will be advertised broadly (and here) but please also inquire directly. 

Undergraduate students.  Undergraduates interested in cell biology, developmental biology, signaling or plant biology are especially encouraged to inquire about joining the lab. Please email Dr. Bergmann with your interests and we’ll arrange a meeting to discuss projects. Also, check out some of the opportunities for undergraduate research in the department. Frosh and Sophomores can also apply for a summer research position in the lab through the B-SURP Program. Students from Foothills college and other nearby schools are encouraged to look at our work-study positions during the school year and funded research positions during the summer.
